Full Root-level Access
What does the full root-level access feature imply? What privileges will it bestow you with? How to sign in to your server as root?
Having full root-level access means that you can access and customize any file on a particular server, which includes all of the system files, and to change system settings or set up server-side software which may be needed by specific scripts and even offline apps in order to function effectively. A server is accessed at the root level via a root user, who has full privileges to do all the abovementioned things. Your root user may also generate other users. For security reasons, you are advised to have a separate account for day-to-day tasks and to use the root account only if you actually need to perform some task on your server. The root-level access feature gives you full control of your server from any kind of location, provided that you know the user credentials.

Full Root-level Access in VPS Servers

VPS servers include different degrees of access, to give you the option to choose the one you need, based on your level of experience and on what you'll need the server for. If you buy a VPS without any Control Panel, you'll have full root-level access and you'll control everything from a console, unless you install a third-party instrument. The servers that are ordered with the DirectAdmin or the cPanel web hosting Control Panel also feature full root access, but most of the things which are related to your online content can be performed with a graphical interface and not a console. You'll be able to install various different frameworks or media streaming software, for instance, without any problems. If you get the virtual server with the Hepsia Control Panel, you may still use a Secure Shell console to connect, but the root access will be restricted. Yet, the Hepsia-equipped servers are the simplest to control.

dedicated server that we offer provides you with full root-level access, if the server is ordered without a Control Panel, or with cPanel or DirectAdmin. If you would like to install and run heavy, resource-demanding applications and they have special requirements regarding the server software environment which can't be fulfilled by a conventional shared web hosting package, our servers are the right solution. With no Control Panel at hand, you'll be able to access the server and change its settings and the content that you upload using a console, while with cPanel and DirectAdmin, you will have a graphical interface to control everything related to your web content, and most server-side settings. Of course, when you get a dedicated server without a Control Panel, you can always set up some third-party instrument manually, as long as it is compatible with the Operating System that you've selected at signup. When you choose the Hepsia Control Panel on the order page, you will have limited root access, however you will still be able to perform quite a lot of things through a Secure Shell console.
